Why 3VC is Partnering with the newly founded WU Ignite Ventures Analyst Program

As the venture capital industry becomes increasingly data-driven and the benchmark for investment excellence keeps rising, the need for "day-one ready" talent has never been greater.
That is why we are excited to announce our partnership with WU Ignite Ventures for the launch of their inaugural VC Analyst Program.
Closing the Gap Between Theory and Practice
While Vienna is home to world-class academic institutions like the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Wien), the path from the lecture hall to the investment committee has often been difficult to navigate. This program addresses that gap by providing intensive preparation and training tailored to the venture capital industry.
This isn’t just another seminar. It is a selective, praxis-based fellowship, where students don't just study venture capital - they experience it first hand.
Our Role: Mentorship from Seasoned/Skilled Investors
As a partner alongside other leading firms in the scene, 3VC is contributing to a curated curriculum of 13 intensive workshops. We are opening our doors to these students to provide:
- Real-World Insights: Workshops are held directly in the offices of participating VCs to allow for the experience of daily investment life.
- Direct Mentorship: Through dedicated mentor-mentee matching, our team will share the decision-making logic and market mechanisms we use on a daily basis.
- Support Real Deals: These analysts aren't working on simulations; they will be actively supporting the WU Ignite Ventures team with due diligence, deal flow identification, and transaction processes for current investments.
A Commitment to Diversity
We are particularly proud to see the program's commitment to building a more inclusive industry. The current pilot cohort, which runs from March to June 2026, consists of 12 talented individuals - 50% of whom are women. Strengthening the representation of female investors is a mission we at 3VC fully support.
Looking Ahead
The official kick-off took place on March 13th, and the cohort has already shown impressive energy and enthusiasm. By helping train the next generation of investors, we aren't just supporting a program; we are investing in the long-term success of the Austrian and European startup ecosystem.
